Easy to install and comes packed with features

Bought it to keep an eye on the house / cats while being on holiday leave. Set up was fast (pairing with QR) and easy like with the other SwitchBot products. Great functionality within the app, allowing to pan/zoom around, motion detection works perfect and night mode is very handy as well. Can recommend for sure for this price!

I Love It!

I've owned a pretty ridiculous amount of cameras / baby monitors and of all the ones I've had, this just may be my favorite. I have the regular switchbot pan cam (Not the 2K version) and I really like it, so when I saw there was a 2k version I was excited to give it a try! Honestly, picture wise, I don't really see much of a difference between this and the original. The one difference I noticed and was super excited about was that on this one there is a spot on the bottom where you can snap on a piece that allows you to mount this on most standard, threaded baby monitor stands/tripods, etc... That was one thing that frustrated me about the original. I use it as a baby monitor and have wanted to get a monitor mount but have had a doozy of a time trying to find something that would work. This upgrade eliminates that problem. Setup is easy and I had it added to my switchbot app in minutes. One of the reasons that I love this one so much is because of the super clear picture and the fact that is so wide angle. I can get a good view of my baby's entire crib while the camera is only a few feet away, vs a lot of other cameras I've tried where I would have to literally mount the camera all the way across the room or on the ceiling for such a great view. It's downright impressive! The camera is super easy to work with and I've had far less issues with it than I have with some of my other cameras that cost 3-4x as much. It's a great, budget friendly option that honestly works better that some of the crazy expensive ones! I have no complaints and would seriously love to switch every camera in my house to one of these for the great quality and ease of use.

Good little camera

This is a well made and useful internal CCTV camera, useful as a baby or pet monitor or just for general monitoring of rooms. The item has minimal packaging, which is always good from an environmental perspective. It comes with a plug and USB-A to micro cable. Upgrading it to a USB-C connector on the camera would be good, but a positive is that the cable is about 50cm long, so there's no need to place the camera too close to a socket or have unsightly extension cables. The camera comes with a ceiling mount, screws and fittings. It's lightweight so you don't worry that the camera might be too heavy. The camera is very easy to set up. It comes with a set of very clear instructions. It's important to follow them in order, particularly remembering to remove the protective film over the camera lens. You have to install the SwitchBot app, and if you want to have recorded footage you need to install a memory card, supplied separately. I haven't installed a memory card to give full recording capabilities, but it does still record snapshots of movement in the app for review or deletion. The camera is easily installed on the app, simply connect the camera to your existing home wireless network for viewing on your phone. It has many features such as night mode (with infra-red LEDs), privacy mode that allows you to quickly shut the camera off (the lens physically drops down, not just the software in the app turning it off). It also has modes to detect movement (and start recording) and also to track movement. The app has selectable features for the level of detection, such as only picking up on people or low/medium/high thresholds for movement. For remote viewing, the app warns you that you are using cellular data, so you know you're not on WiFi and may be subject to high data usage. The bandwidth rate is shown in the top corner, with SD/HD options as required. Live viewing on a data connection has slight lag, especially when turning the camera around, but being able to view and rotate a camera from 200miles away in mere seconds isn't that bad. The ability to hear through your phone and speak back is also invaluable.Overall, a high quality camera, good image quality and an app that's got the majority of the main desirables covered. It could be improved by having integral storage (a basic amount, with users able to add a memory card if they want extra), but that isn't a deal breaker.

Question:
Will it work without being connected to WiFi?
Answer:

No

Question:
Can we mound on the crib using crib mounder?
Answer:

Yes. I love mine. I don't have a baby but I úse it as a security camera. Pics are crystal clear.

Question:
I know this needs to be plugged in, but can i plug it in to a large storage usb battery?
Answer:
It can be used as long as it is 5V2A

Question:
Is a mount included?
Answer:
The original base at the bottom is the mount you want I think, of course included.

Question:
Does this camera system have an alert for noise detection?
Answer:

No. Just for motion detection.

Question:
Does this camera have support for rtsp?
Answer:
Not yet.

Question:
Can I add multiple cameras?
Answer:
Yes. You can add multiple indoor cameras in the APP and set different names for them according to your needs.

Question:
Can you use the app with cell service if you are not in range of wifi?
Answer:
When the Camera is always connected to the Internet, you can view it anytime and anywhere on the App, even thousands of miles away.
