Now I have 9 switchbot tilts, I love them. Our 2” faux wood blinds have 3” valance. The 3 inch valance clips don’t have behind space for switchbot head at all, I tried many different clips but no luck. So I just installed them on the outside of valances and it works just fine and don’t hurt eyes.
I have transom window(above window) in bedroom, too bright. I installed Light Filtering 1” Vinyl blind (72” width $26 at homedepot) and Switchbot then set it to open or close the blinds depending on the brightness. No more dazzling eyes.
Small tips.
1. If you need to relocate the switchbot head, use hair dryer to heat the adhesive tape for 5 seconds then remove slowly, it will be off cleanly.
2. If your blind valances are 3”, you need High Profile Wand Tilter.
3. I highly recommend Modtek brand or fiberglass wands.
4. If you need clips for 3” faux wood valances, I recommend Amazing Drapery Hardware (B01C20KWF8) clips.
5. If blind valances have engraving, mounting base B is more stable.
Update: If valance has engraving, mounting base B is more stable.

I have seven blind tilt mechanisms from switchbot installed in our house and we really like them very convenient especially when you have blinds behind furniture it really makes life easier by not having to crawl over the couch to turn your blinds open I recommend them 100%.

The wand for the blinds in my mom’s assisted living was so hard to get to that she often didn’t bother. Now she has sunshine and privacy at the click of a button! The wand was between L and XL so that took some fidgeting but otherwise fast and easy. I do wish the remote or Alexa had more than 2 settings. A third setting would really be nice: full open, full close and partial/no glare.

Easy install with sleek appearance. Much easier to install relative to other brands which require significant modification to the blinds. Overall, very satisfied! Also, good price/ value proposition for converting conventional blinds.

Very easy to install with instructions supplied . Calibration goes very smooth and works perfectly. The solar panel tops off the battery each morning it is pretty much maintenance free. I have them mounted on the Levolor 2" Faux Wood Cordless Blinds for any reference.

One and only on the market and it does it well! I have it working in a pair (grouped). Automated based on sunset/sunrise. Every night and every morning I have my blinds closed/opened. Battery is always 100% thanks to solars. Totally maintenance-free solution and this is what smart home should be about. Good job engineers!
