Lightweight and easy to use, this alarm is quite loud. The build quality feels solid - it feels like it will easily hold up to the abuse of a keychain or pocket. The added functionality of tracking via Apple Find My is great. The safety factor of having automatic alerting for loved ones in case of a panic activation is priceless. Overall, a great value at this price point. I will note that mine came with a nearly dead battery, but I did not deduct a star for this, as it sometimes happens with batteries in storage. Your mileage may vary, and having additional CR2032 batteries on hand is a good idea either way.

Great safety addition for peace of mind!
Setup was easy and connecting it with Find My through Apple was also super simple. The flashlight is a nice accessory to have and this is one of those things you hope you never have to use but it gives peace of mind just in case. I feel the tiniest bit safer walking through parking lots at night holding it since actual keys for your car are a thing of the past (yeah yeah, I know there still is one inside but I’m not pulling it out on the regular). A key fob is not going to do any damage but at least this alarm (which is extremely loud and the flashing light very bright) will hopefully spook the predator and draw the attention of anyone close by. And including location info in the alert to your setup emergency contact is extremely helpful.
It looks cute and inconspicuous on my key chain which is nice, but the chain and carabiner hook attachment need a major upgrade. It’s very lightweight and fragile. I plan on replacing it with something more substantial and heavy duty. It’s only a matter of time before one of the chain links pops open and I lose the alarm. The battery compartment securing mechanism is also a hassle. Hopefully you don’t have to replace it often, but I nearly lost the teeny screw twice during the initial set up.

The setup with Apple’s Find My app was quick and simple, and I like that you can adjust the siren sound within the SwitchBot app itself. The location tracking is accurate and gives me peace of mind when I clip it on my bag for walks or errands.
I do wish I had more SwitchBot devices, like their smart door lock, to really test out the full integration potential, but even on its own this alarm feels very useful. My only complaint is that family or emergency contacts have to download the app to receive an alert, which seems impractical as my emergency contacts have no other need for the app so I don’t want to have to ask them to download it. Without the anpp only an email notification will be sent which could easily be missed, so I really hope SwitchBot adds the ability to send a text alert or phone call directly to chosen contacts. That would make it feel much more complete and reliable as a safety tool.
