Excellent smart hub

I’m very happy with the SwitchBot Hub 3. I use it with my Smart Lock Ultra and SwitchBot Bots, and everything works perfectly with HomeKit and Home Assistant. It helps me run useful automations based on temperature and humidity. Easy to set up and very reliable so far.

Better than Hub2

We now have around 18 Switchbot devices (and 6 2PM’s to install when we return home). The new Hub3 connected to all the devices and to AppleHome very easierly! I’ll keep the old Hub2 if we manage to fill up the allotted spaces (30) on the Hub3! I only wish they made the Switchbot Plug suitable for the Australian market! We have over 20 plugs that work on the GridConnect System, but that system isn’t as reliable as Switchbot! I’ll keep my eyes open for the Plug if/when they become available!

I absolutely love this hub. It’s my favorite device so far. I really wish it could also support RF in addition to the IR remotes. There’s a few RF devices I would like to automate. Would be cool to see that in a future version.

A fantastic addition to any smart home — especially for Apple users!

I primarily use Apple Home with an Apple TV as my hub, and the SwitchBot Hub 3 has truly taken my smart home setup to the next level.

Thanks to this hub, I was able to connect my portable air conditioner to Apple Home. Before, I had to manually open the app every time I wanted to control it. Now, I can trigger it with simple shortcuts directly from the Apple Home app, which is way more convenient — especially in the summer when I want to cool down the house before getting home.

One of the best features of the Hub 3 is its built-in sensors for temperature, humidity, and ambient light. These let me create custom automations, like automatically turning on the AC when it gets too hot. That’s especially important for me since I have a small dog at home, and I want to make sure he’s comfortable and safe during hot days while I’m away. I also have scenes set up to turn on lights when I arrive in the evening, making the home feel more welcoming.

The Matter support makes integration with Apple Home incredibly easy and seamless — no complicated setup required. On top of that, I was able to connect several “non-smart” devices that use infrared remotes, like fans, lights, my soundbar, and more. Now I can control all of them with Siri or automate them based on time or conditions in the home.

One thing I especially love about this new model is the ability to use physical buttons for triggering simple and efficient shortcuts. It’s incredibly satisfying to be able to quickly control devices or scenes with a tap, without always relying on voice commands or navigating apps.

Overall, the Hub 3 has become a central piece of my smart home. It’s easy to install, works reliably, and adds smart functionality to so many older devices. I recommend it without hesitation and I’m more than satisfied with my purchase.

HomeAssistant Matter Supported Superb!

Wow! Setup was easy.
Quick software update and a sheer thing of beauty on my desk.
I turned on Matter in Home Assistant, and in the switchbot app. Cut and pasted the code into HA and hey presto. I'll update once I've tinkered a bit. Curtains and door lock to be controlled. As well as very many sensors. I already have the curtains set to close when it gets too hot.

Switchbots commitment to Home Assistant integration and local processing so internet isn't needed to function is awesome.

Seamless setup and a real smart home upgrade

I’ve been using this SwitchBot Hub 3 for a few days now, and it’s quickly become a central part of my home automation setup. The installation was super straightforward, I had it connected to my devices and integrated with Alexa and HomeKit in less than 10 minutes.

What really stands out is the versatility. The IR remote function is brilliant, I was able to control my old air conditioning unit, which isn’t smart, directly from my phone. It’s like giving a second life to some of my older tech.

The built-in thermometer and hygrometer are a nice bonus. It’s been helpful to get accurate readings for different rooms, especially when trying to fine-tune the heating and cooling.

So far, everything has been responsive and stable. It’s honestly taken my home automation to the next level without needing to replace existing gear. Very impressed!

Switchbots commitment to Home Assistant integration and local processing so internet isn't needed to function is awesome.

Seamless setup and a real smart home upgrade

The built-in thermometer and hygrometer are a nice bonus. It’s been helpful to get accurate readings for different rooms, especially when trying to fine-tune the heating and cooling.

So far, everything has been responsive and stable. It’s honestly taken my home automation to the next level without needing to replace existing gear. Very impressed!
