KATA Friends Art Diary Privacy Policy

In addition to consenting to our KATA Friends Privacy Policy, please read the following content. This policy explains how we collect, transmit, use, and store your information when you use the KATA Friends Art Diary Feature (the "Feature"). You may decline this policy or turn off the Feature; after you decline or turn it off, we will be unable to provide you with the art diary generation and display feature.

Please note: This Feature is intended only for personal or household use, or for scenarios where lawful authorization has been obtained. Unless you have obtained the necessary authorization, please do not use this Feature to collect or process other people's personal information, sensitive information, or images or content containing information such as other people's faces, children, home environments, identity documents, employee badges, contact details, chat records, screen content, code, or documents.

This Feature includes text generated by large AI models, image selection, image stylization, and image-text matching results. The relevant results may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent with actual scenarios, or reflect errors in understanding image content. Please exercise careful judgment based on the actual circumstances.

1. Information We Collect

After you actively enable this Feature, in order to generate Art Diary and related display content, all photos from the current day in the local album on your device will be automatically uploaded to the cloud server when triggered by the system at scheduled times, and will be used to generate art images and diary text.

2. Transmission, Use, and Storage of Information

We will transmit all of your photos from the current day, together with interaction and behavioral information (in text form), to a third-party service provider through encrypted channels. The third-party service provider will identify, select, and process the information in accordance with our entrustment and instructions, and return the processing results to our cloud server for the generation of Art Diary and display to you through the App.

The third-party service provider processes the relevant information only in accordance with our entrustment and instructions. After processing is completed, unless otherwise required by laws or regulations, the third-party service provider will, at our request, delete or no longer retain the original images and text information it has processed.

After you turn off this Feature, Art Diary that have already been generated will continue to be retained on the cloud server unless you actively delete them, the retention period expires, or laws or regulations require otherwise. We will not use your original photos or text information for model training.

We retain relevant information only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of this Feature. When the retention period expires, the processing purpose has been fulfilled, you actively delete the relevant data, or we terminate the corresponding feature, we will delete or anonymize the relevant personal information in accordance with law, unless otherwise required by laws or regulations.

3. Withdrawal of Consent

You may turn off the Art Diary Feature in the App settings to stop using this Feature and withdraw your consent to the processing activities under this policy. After you turn off this Feature, we will no longer continue to collect or transmit the corresponding information based on this policy. For the daily generated Art Diary Feature, after it is turned off, photos will no longer be automatically uploaded and corresponding Art Diary will no longer be generated starting from the following day; however, this will not affect processing activities that have already been carried out based on your consent or for the provision of this Feature. Diaries or art results that have already been generated may continue to be retained until you actively delete them or the retention period expires.

When you enable or use this Feature again, we may display this policy to you again and obtain your consent in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If you have any questions about this Feature or personal information protection matters, you may contact us at privacy@switch-bot.com.
