SwitchBot KATA AI Assistant Privacy Policy

In addition to agreeing to our App Privacy Policy (see Profile-Preference-About), please read the following. This policy explains how we collect, transmit, use, and store your information when you use the SwitchBot KATA AI Assistant service (the "Service"). You may decline this policy; however, if you do so, we will be unable to provide the Service to you.
Please note: Replies or instructions under the Service are generated by AI. Please be aware that the relevant results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent with the actual status of your devices. For safety issues or other important matters, please exercise careful judgment based on the actual circumstances and manually confirm them when necessary. Please use the Service only in personal or household scenarios, or in scenarios where lawful authorization has been obtained. Unless you have obtained the necessary authorization, please do not enter, upload, or process other people's personal information, sensitive information, or content containing other people's faces, voices, home environments, children's information, or similar information.
1. Information We Collect
After you tap the KATA avatar on the App home page to use the Service, you may submit information in the dialog box by text, voice, images, or other means. To provide the Service, we will collect information that you actively enter or upload, including text, voice, and images, as well as device names, device status, operation instructions, and other information related to smart home device control, and transmit the above information to third-party service providers for recognition and processing, specifically including large AI model analysis, speech recognition, and image processing.
When you use the voice input function, the voice you actively record will first be used to convert into text, and then used to identify and process your request. We and the relevant service providers will not extract, store, or use your voiceprint information.
2. Transmission, Use, and Storage of Information
The text, voice, images, or other information you submit will be transmitted to third-party service providers for processing, and will be used to generate replies, process images, or form smart home device control instructions. Except as necessary to complete real-time transmission, display results, execute your device control instructions, and ensure service security, we will not independently recognize, analyze, or persistently store the above input information.
The third-party service providers process the relevant information only in accordance with our entrustment and instructions, and return the results to us after processing is completed. Neither we nor the third-party service providers will store the original input information you submit, and the third-party service providers will not store the processing results or use the relevant information for training their own models.
After the Service completes processing, we will display the results to you for your viewing or operation of smart home products. To facilitate your subsequent viewing, management, or deletion of records, we will store the reply results, image processing results, device control results, and related service records generated by the Service on our cloud servers.
To improve service quality, optimize model performance, or improve user experience, we may use anonymized service results and related interaction information within the necessary scope. We will not use your original voice, images, voiceprint information, or personal information that has not been anonymized for model training.
We retain relevant information only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of the Service. When the retention period expires, the processing purpose has been fulfilled, you actively delete the relevant data, or we terminate the corresponding service, we will delete or anonymize the relevant personal information in accordance with law, unless otherwise required by laws or regulations.
3. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent to the processing activities under this policy by stopping use of the Service or disabling the relevant feature permissions. After you withdraw your consent or disable the relevant features, we will no longer continue to collect and transmit your information based on this policy, but this will not affect processing activities that have already been carried out based on your consent or for the provision of the Service.
