Works with just about any rocker switch and button of any appliance. Turn any dumb appliance smart instantly.
Install in 3 seconds. Just tape it next to button or switch with no tools required.
Designed to fit in most cases. With the add-on in the box, a rocker switch could be flipped at both directions, push or pull for ON/OFF by one SwitchBot Bot!
Place it on coffee machine or light switch and set a schedule to automatically turn on or off.
It is compatible with most of the buttons and switches, except the US Toggles. Not only for the light switches but also for the coffee machine, air conditioner, and even garage doors...
With a SwitchBot Hub Mini (sold separately), the Bots can be voice-controlled by Alexa, Google Home, Siri, and IFTTT.
Your imagination is the unlimited, it's time to Smart your applications!
Paired this with the mini hub and alexa, and works GREAT. Simple set up. I pre warm my breville express coffee machine with Alexa routines.
I WISH it could work completely with Australian standard switches. Switchbot can only turn switch in one direction. Eg Can turn ON, but canNOT turn OFF using the same single bot (you could use two boys, but it might made manual flipping a pain).
I ordered the 4 pack of the switches along with the hub to automate a set of collectable figures from First4Figures that are battery operated and use a toggle switch. They work great and the supplied 3M tape is pretty strong but easy to remove if needed so it won't ruin the surface its attached to. I was able to attach this to all of my figures and set them up through the Google Home app to automate them turning on and off.
Great solution to automate toggle buttons. I was looking for a solution like this forever!
The automation is great in the morning routine and the evening routine. But the size of the bot is still a little bit big. Anyway, it is still a great device.
I really like the product and made a DIY with it. We have a dog who always trying to open the cabinet to find food while we are not at home. I bought some magnetic cabinet locks from Amazon and they are working very well except for one thing: we need to make sure all doors locked before we leave and also need to unlock all of them after we back home. So I came up with the idea of making the lock smarter with the bot. Here is what I do:
1. Make the puller pin smaller enough to fit in the lock (Make the puller rectangle instead of square).
2. Add a base beneath the lock
3. Set the bot to 'switch mode'
4. Connect the pin and bot to the lock
and voila it's done!
Now with the SwitchBot hub and Alexa, I can create routines to lock all of them when the home in 'Away' mode and unlock all while it's in 'Home' mode.
Very happy with my purchase of one SwitchBot Bot for turning on our immersion heater. We're renting, and the house doesn't have a timer for the immersion, so that means a cold water shower if you wake late - which I usually do. Except now I can set the SwitchBot timer for those cold winter weekdays, and use the manual option for the weekends. Unfortunately, the immersion switch is too heavy for the 'lifting' option, but turning it off manually is no problem en route to the bathroom. I might just buy another SwitchBot to turn it off when I'm too lazy to get out of bed at all!
