We released the new app of SwitchBot V3.8.2 on February 25th. We applied a new API since this version as per a mandatory requirement from Google. This changed how the app get to the Bluetooth service permission.
As per the change since Android 6.0, location permission is now needed for hardware identifier access*. Thus, the SwitchBot App must get access to location service to get it working.
If any user is experiencing an issue that SwitchBots were not shown on the SwitchBot App, please confirm:
1) The plastic isolation tap is removed, and the battery is properly placed;
2) The SwitchBot App have permission of location service and Bluetooth service;
3) The location service and Bluetooth service was enable on the mobile device;
4) Try disable and re-enable the Bluetooth service.
