Problem: SwitchBot not shown in the Android app

Dear users,

We released the new app of SwitchBot V3.8.2 on February 25th. We applied a new API since this version as per a mandatory requirement from Google. This changed how the app get to the Bluetooth service permission.

As per the change since Android 6.0, location permission is now needed for hardware identifier access*. Thus, the SwitchBot App must get access to location service to get it working.

If any user is experiencing an issue that SwitchBots were not shown on the SwitchBot App, please confirm:

1) The plastic isolation tap is removed, and the battery is properly placed;

2) The SwitchBot App have permission of location service and Bluetooth service;

3) The location service and Bluetooth service was enable on the mobile device;

4) Try disable and re-enable the Bluetooth service.

If any user could not resolve the issue by following procedures above, please contact

SwitchBot Appにデバイスを表示できない状況が発生した場合は、以下を確認してください:

2)SwitchBot Appは、位置情報サービスとBluetoothサービスの許可を得ています;

An example of how to check whether SwitchBot has the right permission on Android mobiles: Settings - Apps - SwitchBot - Permission

Note: Depends on different phone modules (Android variations), the detailed procedure might vary a little.

    I have a number of different kinds of smart devices assigned to particular rooms in my google home, including switchbots. when I give a specific command for a switchbot, it works fine, but if I give a room level command, such as, turn on all the living room lights, all of the devices in the living room respond, except for the switchbot (even though they are most definitely assigned to that room in Google home). This occurs in every room where I have a switchbot, and all batteries are fine on the switchbots, so this is a program level issue. please tell me how to fix this, or if you are already aware that this is an issue that you are working on currently.

    La télécommande freebox semble être une telecommande radio et non IR. Impossible de l’ajouter au hub ??
