Sending command to switchbot via IFTTT and getting response that it was successful

I'm using IFTTT as the only API for my switchbot's + hub and it works but only as long as something weird happens and command send through that does not result with a switchbot being pressed and then everything is messed up (I'm relying on counting num of clicks to figure out state in round-robin like device with many modes). So... my question is if there is any way to get a response back to figure out that it went well or not - I do see that the Switchbot app is figuring it out... If there is any better API to be used then I'm more than happy to switch ;) PS. If the only solution would be to switch to Python API then please also let me know.

I trust that might be an interesting bit for some people who are trying to automate devices with multiple modes controlled in round-robin mode.
