Multiple Button Presses In Succession Quickly

Hello, I am planning on using a switch bot + Switch bot hub to start my car using Alexa. My car requires you to push the lock button 3 times to start it from the key fob. I want to say "Alexa start my car", when it hears that it will then extend the switch bot button three times, about one second apart. Is this possible? Thank you!

Hi Bobby,

Did you manage to achieve this (switch bot triggers 3 times in succession)? I need to do the same thing.

As it's recognised as a "switch" in Alexa, it can be turned on, and off to make it fire twice (via a routine) - although it's not in light switch mode, I found that On and On commands in the routine only makes the switch bot trigger once. On and off as two different commands in a routine gets us almost there, but strangely On, Off, On, doesn't make it trigger 3 times which I find confusing and unexpected.

Hi, our engineers are working on this and should be released in this season. :)

@yourconnery thanks yourconnery for your reply. Could you clarify time frame when you say 'this season'? I'm in the UK. Is it a firmware update that needs to be pushed (or presumably pulled) from the SwitchBot? I work as a Web developer so understand a little bit.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi. Im hoping to buy a SwitchBot hub + and Meter so I can monitor the temperature in my mother's house from my home. As I'm new to this can I ask some questions: Question 1: If I set up the hub and meter in her house can I see the temperature graph from her meter on my iPhone from anywhere? Question 2: Could we see this on 2 iPhones at the same time ( from several miles away) Question 3: Will the SwitchBot hub + work well with the Huawei B315 router? Please let us know each answer

I am looking at getting a SwitchBot or two for my home, I currently have a SmartThings Hub, do I need to purchase a SwitchBot Hub to remotely control the SwitchBot or can I use my existing SmartThings Hub?

It would be really great to add an indefinite 'long press' or 'hold down until off' as the last option on the long press timer. That way it would hold the button down until the switch is set to off instead of a timed interval.
